Ethical Investments

University Council were set to vote on Ethical Investments in March but the vote never happened despite a quite positive meeting between the Students union Ethics and Environment Committee and the University Finance Officer.

It is looking increasingly like the university is not going to implement an Ethical Investment Policy without continuing pressure from students.

Green Forum

The Green Forum brings together interested and influential members of Essex university staff, members of the Students Union, student campaign groups, individual students and local environmental groups to openly discuss campus environmental issues large and small.

The second meeting will be in the Autumn term 2007. Keep an eye out for updates and bring along your suggestions and proposals.

Treat AIDs Now

Hundreds of action cards were filled in lobbying Gordon Brown, Hillary Benn and local MP's to make the UK's part of the promise to provide universal AIDS treatment for all by 2010 a reality.
